NWIHL
Since the inception of the NWIHL in 2001, the League has empowered women and brought them together to learn and play hockey in
a healthy, structured environment.  One of the goals for each year, is to be active stewards within our community by volunteering our
time within local community organizations.
Two ways to get involved with the NWIHL:

Full time Members

  •  Pay season dues at the onset of each season
  •  May participate in all regular season ice activities at no extra charge
  •  Receive priority with tournament rosters
  •   Retain voting power for all League matters including officer elections

Pay Per Play Players

  •  Pay ice fee each time player participates ($10 for practice and $15 for scrimmages)
Ice Time
We have weekly ice time for practices and scrimmages.

Development
As a League we have the opportunity to take part in skill development throughout the year
with outside organizations such as the Laura Stamm Skating Clinic.

Cost
The cost of the NWIHL is significantly lower than alternative hockey leagues in the area ($130
for NWIHL opposed to $175-$400 for area co-ed leagues.)

Coaching Staff
With 10 years coaching experience, the coaching staff provides each practice with a full array
of drills for all appropriate skill levels.

Camaraderie
The members of the NWIHL are like an extended family.  We initiate outings throughout the
year for casual off-ice activities such as golf, bowling, movies, and dinner where spouses and
significant others are always welcome.

Community Stewardship
The members of the NWIHL are actively involved in community relations.  Some of our
current projects are Habitat for Humanity and the Ronald McDonald House.

Empowerment
The NWIHL organization is helping to promote the strength and development of women.
Being a part of the NWIHL organization does not just provide strength for your hockey skills,
it also provides a healthy environment where the strength of women is encouraged and
portrayed.

Fundraising
Each year the NWIHL sponsors a charity golf tournament, the Ice-Tee Open.  All funds from
this tournament go toward enabling the NWIHL the opportunity to be highly involved within
the local community.
