REGISTRATION
At least 30 minutes PRIOR to each game, every player MUST sign in at the registration table. No exceptions.
GAME FORMAT/RULES/EQUIPMENT
Warm-up - 3 minutes
3 Periods of 14 minutes each, stop time with 30 seconds rest between periods
Curfew at 1hr - last period goes to run time of game runs long
Resurface between games
No body contact in either division
1 time out (30 seconds) per game per team
USA Hockey Girls/Women’s rules apply
Tag-up offsides
Helmet cages, mouth guards, and neck guards are not required, but are recommended
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
Each team will play 3 games. Teams in 1st and 2nd place in each division will play in their divisions championship
game.
STANDINGS
Team standings are determined by the point system; Win- 2 pts, Tie-1pt, Loss-0pts
Tie Breaking: (Proceed through the steps if a winner is not declared)
Step 1 - Head to Head - Team who won game played against team with which it is tied
Step 2 - Total goals scored in play with most goals team advancing
Step 3 - Total goals against in play with the least goals scored against team advancing
Step 4 - Least penalty infractions
Step 5 - Coin toss
Step 6 - Super Keg Drink Off - Last team standing, wins.
PENALTIES
In the event of overtime in playoff games, regulation time penalties will be in effect on stop-time basis.
Minor - 2 mins Major - 5 mins Misconduct 10 mins Suspension - entire tournament
Referee decisions are final and will be upheld by tournament director and hosting team
OVERTIME
Championship games tied after regulation time will be decided by a 5 minute sudden death overtime. If the game
remains tied after overtime, a shoot-out will decide Championship. As long as a tie remains, this procedure is
repeated with a different player each time until a winner emerges. Once a team scores off a shootout goal, the
other team must score to keep in the game.
MERCY RULE
In the event of a team leading by 5 goals or more with 7 minutes remaining in the second period, running time will
be played as long as a 5 goal differential remains. The scoreboard will not show more than a 5 goal spread at
anytime
